New month, new great pubs to try out! Welcome to the latest installment of Where to Drink: The guide for the discerning craft beer drinker. This month we are kicking things off in West London.

Noble Green Wines, Hampton Hill

noblegreenwines.co.uk

First stop is Noble Green Wines, located in Hampton Hill, West London. They are an independent wine merchant, bottled beer and artisan spirit specialist. Running for over 12 years now they’ve got over 800 wines, 450 beers and 200 spirits in stock… of course, we are mainly interested in the beer!

Noble Green Wines have recently started stocking a few of the Sixpoint classics; Bengali, The Crisp, and Sweet Action. They’ve also taken on Tailgate’s Grapefruit IPA. If you aren’t lucky enough to be local to Noble Green Wines then no worries, they do national delivery from their online store. Check it out at https://noblegreenwines.co.uk/home

The Albion, Kingston

The Albion are passionate about 3 things we can all get behind: good beer, home-cooked food, and friendly service. They’ve got 10 real ales, 5 real ciders & 20 keg beers from some of the most progressive, independent breweries from the UK & beyond.

If you are heading to The Albion expect special one-off brews, punchy IPAs, sours and Belgian classics. Most recently having taken on Tailgate’s flagship Peanut Butter Milk stout. With an amazing seasonal menu prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients & features house-smoked meats, home cooked bar bites & delicious Sunday Roasts.

The Three Guineas, Reading

www.three-guineas.co.uk

The Three Guineas is a pub steeped in history. Built in 1840, it was initially the central railway ticket office. In July 1904, James Inglis, MD of the company, authorised an advertisement in “The Railway Magazine” - to announce a national competition to name the record-breaking locomotive that ran 245 miles from London to Plymouth nonstop. The competition prize, proclaimed in banner headlines, was ”Three Golden Guineas”. 1,286 people entered the competition, and while the winner’s name is now lost in the midst of the steam age, the prize is remembered in the pub’s title. As for the locomotive, it was named The Riviera Express.

But away from the past and into the present! The Three Guineas has recently started stocking Sixpoint's Sweet Action in kegs this month, as well as Tailgate's Peanut Butter Milk Stout... so there's never been a better reason to board The Riviera Express.
