August?! How can it be August already? Ahh well, we may be entering into the final month of Summer, but you know what that means... only 145 more sleeps till Christmas!
But before we move on to dodgy cardigans lets enjoy the long hours of summer drinking with a few great places to wet your whistle this August.
The Old Crown Public House, London
www.theoldcrownpublichouse.com
If you love a quality craft beer, and I'm guessing from the fact you are reading this that you probably do, then you need to check out The Old Crown Public House, Holborn this August! From Thursday the 9th, for 2 weeks The Old Crown Public House is going to be transformed into an American bar. The idea behind this is to celebrate the partnership of Virgin and Delta Airlines and that they'll now be flying to 230 new American Destinations. What better way to celebrate than do bring over 230 different craft beers from America and the UK from each of the 230 destinations!
Dating back to 1851, The Old Crown definitely has an appropriate name, and is a wonderful safe-haven where you can sit back, chat with old friends and enjoy some incredible beers away from the busy London streets that surround it. With three floors all offering different vibes and more beverage choice than you know what to do with, The Old Crown undoubtedly has something for everyone!
So swing by during the festival and sample some quality craft… all your Heathwick favourites will be there! We’ve got Sixpoint’s Sweet Action, Fordham’s Gypsy Lager and Oak Barrel Stout, Tailgates Peanut Butter Milk Stout, and Saugatuck’s Backyard IPA and Neapolitan Milk Stout!

7 Bone Burger, All Sites
Eight locations including Southampton, Bournemouth, Camberley, Reading, Eastbourne, Hove and Portsmouth
www.7bone.co.uk
7 Bone Burger was founded by Matt and Rich, ‘two hardworking guys with a passion for great burgers, American comfort food and service with a smile.’ Their restaurants boast a range of quality American food... but in all honesty whenever I'm there I'm never deviating from their burger range. Each features a unique name, such as the Prince Charles is Overrated and Ronald’s Revenge. Coupled with the Franks a Weiner hot dog, and the Dirty Linda or Juicy Boris vegetarian options you do begin to ask yourself what the naming committee were smoking (and where can you get your hands on some).
Their delicious American food wouldn’t be complete with a complementary craft beer offering from across the pond. This comes in the shape of the Saugatuck Brewery Oval Beach Blonde, an easy drinking light ale with subtle malt flavours and aroma and a well-balanced body. It goes brilliantly with any tasty burger.

Grand Central, Brighton
www.grandcentralbrighton.co.uk/
A lively, opulent pub, the Grand Central stands tall as one of Brighton’s best-loved establishments. Grand in both name and nature, the pub near Brighton station boasts British-inspired menus and even its own theatre - but it’s the fabulous food and drink that take centre stage.
Located right outside Brighton Station, Grand Central is the ideal start or end point (or both) for a great night out in sunny Brighton. And with such a fine selection of quality craft beer, including Tailgate's Peanut Butter Milk Stout and Grapefruit IPA, it is the perfect spot to wait out the nightmare train delays that Southern Rail users are sadly far too familiar with.

Pier Head Village, Liverpool
www.pierheadvillageliverpool.com
We are leaving the bar scene and heading to some festival drinking now with Pier Head Village Liverpool’s summer festival. The festival is running from July 14th to September 9th and has so much going on you'd be mad to miss it! There's still over a month left of Pier Head Village so no excuse for not getting there, OK?
Although we normally just like to chat about the beer, Pier Head Village is jam packed full of amazing attractions for the entire family - thrill rides, an art centre, an inflatable/trampoline village, and lets not forget the beach bar! Being open from 11am to 11pm 7 days a week means you’ll have plenty of time to fit it all in and still be able to enjoy a few cold beers after!
And as always, we're supplying some quality craft beer. You'll be able to get your hands on Sixpoint's Sweet Action and The Crisp, as well as Tailgate's Peanut Butter Milk Stout and Grapefruit IPA.
