The Distiller

With a wealth of experience and expertise behind them, Phil Burley & Jamie Baxter first met in October 2013 to discuss the exciting opportunities of building a craft distillery in Leicestershire. By early November the gin-making journey was full steam ahead, the perfect building on Bawdon Lodge Farm in the village of Nanpantan was discovered.

Adjacent to the distillery is Burleighs wood, a natural woodland reserve of outstanding beauty. Whilst walking through the woodland, Master Distiller, Jamie came across Silver Birch, Dandelion, Burdock, Elderberries and Iris. Enthused by his findings, these botanicals went on to inspire Burleighs unique gin recipe and it seemed only fitting that this ancient Leicestershire woodland would lend its name to their gin.

The Spirit

Super premium gins don't come any more interesting that this one. The design of the still, the careful sourcing of ingredients and the great skill of the distiller, all contribute to the smooth and complex nature of Burleighs London Dry Gin. Infused with 11 of the world’s finest botanicals including silver birch, dandelion, burdock, elderberry and iris, this quality gin is perfectly distilled to make a classic gin & tonic or negroni cocktail. We’ve also made a new discovery of our own – try it with Dominion’s Black Cherry soda. Wow!
