Following the highs, lows and crazy weather of September who know’s what to expect this coming month but one thing is for sure, Autumn is here and with it comes exciting seasonal beers. Whilst the sales team are busy introducing the market to these seasonal greats, the rest of us are busy unearthing the finest stockists of our brands for you to enjoy.
Reading & Portsmouth Students Union Bars
Following a recent survey that showed students would rather going shopping than go to the pub it’s now time to take action, and if the students won’t go to the pub to experience the rise in craft beer then we would have to take the beers to them. We are pleased to announce that Reading University bars are now stocking an array of Fordham, Tailgate and Wingtip beers whilst the Waterhole Bar at Portsmouth University have successfully been serving Fordham beers to their students for the past year and this is a partnership that is set to blossom this term. Please note you’ll have to be a NUS card holder to enter these bars.
Tortilla, Nationwide
Beer is what award winning Mexican restaurant Tortilla do second best to Burritos. And Cucapa Chupacabras, one of the finest Mexican beers currently being imported into the UK, was Tortillas choice of pale ale to accompany their delicious menu. Next time you are near a Tortilla restaurant, their recommendation is a Barbacoa and Steak with a Chupacabras American Pale Ale.
Boobars, Newbury
Famed for their low and slow American smoked meat, Boobars is a lunch venue with a lot of character and even more flavour. A favourite amongst visitors and locals alike, it’s no surprise they ranked in the top three places to eat in Newbury. Our top tip, grab yourself a smoking hot beef brisket burrito a bottle of Fordham Gypsy lager for the lunch you deserve.
Bodega Cantina, Birmingham, Worcester, Leicester
A second supporter of one of our Mexican favourites, Cucapa Chupacabras, the guys behind Bodega Cantina clearly know their stuff when it comes to pairing original South American flavours. From the Mexican street food to the main plates taking their origin from across the continent, there is plenty to choose from to fullfll your taste buds desires. Just remember to take a moment from your food and enjoy the refreshing flavour of authentic Mexican craft beer in the form of a bottle of Cucapa Chupacabras.
Sun & 13 Cantons, London
Sat on the corner of Great Pulteney Street, the Sun and 13 Cantons is a hive of activity with afternoon drinkers making the most of the autumn sun that fills the street outside the pub. Beyond the afternoon the pub is renowned for its affiliation with music, hosting some of the UK’s top DJ’s in the basement bar as well as regularly inviting local DJ’s to enhance the evening atmosphere, adding to the buzz of the venue and ensuring the pub is busy through until closing time. A great venue to hang out with friends, grab some food and enjoy the afternoon especially now they stock Fordham’s Copperhead Ale, a beer suited to any time of day.
