Where to Drink in July
It's beginning to feel more like Summer and despite what is happening in the world of UK politics and football (or perhaps because of what is happening in the world of UK politics and football) we need to drink good beer in great places like never before. So here are a few spots we highly recommend this month for beers by the river, with live music and DJs and, of course, on American Independence weekend.
The Boaters Inn - Kingston
Perched on the banks of the river Thames, The Boaters Inn provides an idyllic getaway from city life whilst still being only a ten minute walk from the shopping empire of Kingston Upon Thames. Lose yourself in the seasonal food menu, experience some of the best ales form near and afar or just simply sit on the deck and watch the world drift by whilst enjoying a bottle of American craft beer.
We’re teaming up with The Boater’s Inn on, Saturday 2nd July, to celebrate American independence day. Join us from 1pm for a sampling session of some of our favourite craft beers.
Strongroom Bar - Shoreditch
Where better to celebrate American independence day in London than the uber trendy venue that is Strongroom Bar? Featuring the largest outside drinking space in the area, the Strongroom doesn’t miss a beat, seamlessly combining food, music and craft beer, the perfect location for a party. An American independence day party at that!
We’ll be helping celebrations along the way as Fordham & Dominion beer will flowing from the taps during the Strongroom’s American independence party on Sunday, 3rd July.
Electricity Showrooms - Shoreditch
Nestled on the corner of Hoxton Square you’ll find the quirky bar that is Electricity Showrooms, home to a lot of skilled bartenders who are ready and willing to craft you any cocktail of your desire. Amidst the hustle and bustle of a Friday night, find your way downstairs to dance your troubles away to the Showrooms resident DJ’s on the light-up dancefloor.
The Antelope - Surbiton
Championing independent breweries from around the world and housing it’s very own microbrewery, The Antelope Ale & Cider House is one of our favourite, recently discovered, haunts. It’s no surprise that we’re won over by the food menu, a superb burger and amazing plate of ribs are our top tip, both pairing brilliantly with a bottle of Fordham Gypsy lager.
Bodean’s - Tower Hill
Our Where To Drink article wouldn't be complete without the inclusion of a smokehouse and/or BBQ restaurant because our beers just go so darn well with them! So this month we’ll be revisiting Boedean’s, primarily because we can’t get enough of their ribs... and the pulled pork, hot dogs, burgers and steaks, but also because we are proud to announce that Bodean’s have installed Dominion Cherry Blossom Lager on tap. This delicately sweet craft lager pairs majestically with pretty much every item on the Bodean’s menu.
Cheers!
